thomas sadoski-2The award-winning stage work of Sadoski began as an understudy to Mark Ruffalo, Mark Rosenthal and Mark Rosenthal in an Off-Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan's play This is Our Youth at Second Stage Theatre. It was the first of many productions performed by the company that is based in New York. He has performed in numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions along with numerous productions in regional theaters. Together with Alison Pill, he played the role of Greg in Neil LaBute's 2008 play Reasons to be Pretty at the MCC Theatre. After a sold-out Off Broadway run The play was then moved to Broadway in April 2009. The show received three Tony Award nominations, including Best Actor and Best Actress: Marin Ireland, and three Drama Desk Award nominations for Best actor and Best Director: Terry Kinney. 6 Neil LaBute credited Sadoski with the change in tone in the play Reasons to Be Pretty that was different from earlier plays. He wrote: "His thoughtfulness and good heart made it impossible to fall back upon anything that I had previously done." My plays typically end in a dark way. Although I believed that gray was real, he showed me that there are many hues of life. In 2011, he originated the part as Trip Wyeth in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities for which he was awarded an Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award. The Outer Critics Circle named the play as the Best New Off-Broadway Performer in 2011. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
