Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco - is a Canadian as well as an American artist and singer. She has released more than 20 albums. Her music is categorized as alternative rock, folk rock but also has influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani diFranco was the first artist to launch her own label in 1990. Ani is widely considered as a feminist icons. DiFranco was a born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as well as Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is Italian heritage, while her mother is from Montreal.
