Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe, a mixed race British-Nigerian child, was born to the family of South London. The father of her is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mom is English. She was born on the south London Council Estate, and then was a student at The Brit School aged 14. She graduated with a BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. At the academy was when she performed in various stage productions, such as King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe started acting in Storm Damage. She has appeared as an actor in Teachers Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's first film appearance was Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), opposite Colin Farrell. The following year she was cast as Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she appeared in Trexx as Ollie and six episodes in Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the part of Bambi in The ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl and was featured in the series two and three. Madekwe was a part of the 2008 comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. She was also on the screen in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path, directed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut came in 2009, with the thriller The Beautiful Life. The drama aired for just two episodes before being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. The show premiered in May 2013 and it was revealed that Madekwe who had been a series regular in the previous two seasons had decided to quit the show after a guest-appearance in the first episode of the season's new episode. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe married her long-time love, Iddo. Alongside Secret Diary of a Call Girl they have also worked in tandem on Salem and also he played an appearance with her on that TV show.
Ashley Leggat grew up in Hamilton Ontario with an extended family. The four brothers she had were also present including twins Todd and Bram, Brett & Rob. All of her brothers were athletic and played baseball and hockey throughout the summer and winter. Her childhood was spent in baseball and arenas. Ashley never actually walked -she danced, so at age two and a half she took up Baby Ballet -and she fell in love with. Ashley was hooked on dance from that moment. Ashley continued to perform competitively throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz and Pointe. She also competed in Acrobatics, Acrobatics Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and more. Ashley was awarded the top soloist honor at each major dance contest, which included International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among a few.
