Dua Lipa Dua Lipa, an English singer-songwriter was born in London, on the 22nd of August 1995. She signed her first contract with Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model. The label released her self-titled debut album in 2017. This album reached number 3 among the U.K. Charts and produced 8 singles. They included Be the One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. Number One single New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 single New Rules. Lipa won the Brit Awards as a British female solo artists and British breakthrough act in 2018. The album has been certified platinum in the world. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on 22 August 1995. She has Bosnian heritage via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors can also be tracked back to the Kosovo Peja city. Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She has a brother Gjin Lipa and a sibling Rina. Lipa's father, the guitar player and singer in the Kosovan band Oda, influenced her musically. Her father played music at home, and included songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead The Police Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing when she was only six years old. At the age of nine she was singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has sung If I'm Not Got You as well as Beautiful by Christina Aguilera on YouTube.
